Problem Space

  • bp wanted to stand up a new team to innovate for them, outside of their corporate structure.

  • I was the sole designer and user experience researcher on this new team of 5.

Process

  • Met with stakeholders throughout bp to identify areas where we could innovate for the company.

  • Collaborated with team to identify areas to innovate, and which of those would be most cost effective.

  • Quickly mocked up designs and workflows while pitching projects for stakeholder buy-in.

Result

  • Identified an under-served market of cash paying customers who could be incentivized.

  • A new team was created to pursue this innovation with our roadmap and designs. In 2022 they introduced the new credit card.
