Amazon - Dynamic Image Generation
Problem Space
Amazon needed a more efficient way to produce event imagery at scale. The existing process was time-intensive and required professional design support to create hundreds of high-quality images—each with multiple variations. To address this, the team set out to build an AI/LLM-powered internal tool that could automate and streamline image creation for non-designers.
I was brought on as the sole UI/UX designer to lead the design of this tool. My goal was to create a simple, intuitive experience that enabled marketers to generate on-brand, professional-quality images with ease.
Process
Participated in daily stand-ups with the Program Owner to ensure design alignment and continuous progress
Held bi-weekly syncs with developers to clarify requirements and support implementation
Managed all design communications, including kickoff meetings, stakeholder approvals, and design reviews
Conducted user feedback sessions to test early mockups and gather actionable insights
Designed and delivered a user-tested, high-fidelity interface with clickable prototypes, completing the full design handoff within 4 weeks of project initiation.
Result
A streamlined process that allowed marketers to generate professional level images to be used on events across Amazon properties by adjusting a series of inputs, with no professional knowledge required.
